Andrea was born in the Philippines but grew up in Kailua. She received her B.A. in Sociology at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. In 2002 she also earned a Child Development Associate degree. Andrea’s background is in early childhood education. Andrea, our Ministry Assistant (aka “Church Auntie”), started attending KCC in 1989 and came on staff in 2005. Prior to joining the KCC staff, she worked for the Kamehameha Preschools for 12 years.
Andrea’s roles include: oversight of the Women’s Ministry,Children’s Ministry (Sunday School, AWANA and Vacation Bible School) and special events.
She is passionate about missions and children.
Andrea has a grown son, Matthew. He is married to Sheila and they have four children.
Josh and Taylor grew up on the South Shore of Oahu, married in 2000, and moved to Southern California. They both graduated from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA. Josh was employed at Ventura Missionary Church for ten years. He was the youth pastor for 6 years and transitioned into a Worship Pastor role. In 2014, they moved home to Oahu and now live in Kailua with their five children.
Josh has a B.A. in Religion with an emphasis on Leadership and Ministry and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity through Tozer Seminary at Simpson University
Pete was born and raised in Iowa and spent his summers in Kailua with family. He graduated “Summa Cum Laude” from Southwest Baptist University with a B.A. in Psychology where he met the love of his life, Liz. Pete & Liz married in St. Louis in 2008 and moved to Kailua in 2010. They have two boys: Truitt (4) & Brave (1). Truitt loves riding a 2 wheel bike without training wheels, and Brave loves to eat :-)
As a family, they enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, & picnics with neighbors. Pete has worked as an EMT, a youth counselor with at-risk youth, and has been part of two successful startup businesses. He is currently working on a Masters of Divinity with Wayland Baptist University. Liz has also worked as a youth counselor with at-risk youth and has her own photography business in 2008. Together, they attended a 6-month discipleship training school with Y.W.A.M. which included a missionary internship in Fiji. They are passionate about seeing the students grow closer in their walk with Christ (John 15) through disciple-making relationships in the youth group.
Tom has a B.A. in Bible, an MDiv. in Pastoral Studies, a ThM. in Systematic Theology, and a Doctorate of Ministry, with an emphasis on Adult Discipleship, from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Pastor Tom has over 30 years of pastoral ministry experience. Twelve of those years were spent as the Discipleship Pastor at First Alliance Church in Pt. Charlotte, FL. He is passionate about discipleship, teaching, world missions, and leading mission trips.
His wife, Kristin, is our new Office Administrator. Welcome Kristin! Kristin also worked full-time at the First Alliance Church in Florida as the Children’s Ministry Director. Prior to Florida, Tom and Kristin served together as CM&A missionaries in the Philippines for 10 years. With a love for the Filipino people, culture and food, these two are able to converse in Tagalog!
Pastor Tom and his wife Kristin have four children Daniel, Jonathan, Brianna, and Matthew, and now have a grand-daughter named Zia.
Perry was born in California and has lived in Hawaii since 1979. He holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Talbot Theological Seminary, a Masters of Sacred Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.
He has served in pastorates in California, Hawaii, Greece, as well as having served 20 years as a reserve chaplain in the U.S. Navy.
Perry has been at KCC since August of 1999 and his roles include: preaching, leadership development, church administration, overseeing the church staff, counseling, and leading our Bless Africa ministry.
Interests: Surfing, running, and cruising on his Triumph.
Don & Connie Bache are both from Michigan and arrived in Kailua in1999 via IN, CT, and CA as Don followed a career path with GTE Corp. Don has a BA from Alma College and an MBA from Grand Valley SU, both in Michigan. Connie attended Central Michigan U. They have been married since 1978 and have 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. They have attended KCC since 2000.
Connie has been the KCC Treasurer since 2005 and used her accounting skills to fulfill her responsibilities of payroll, tax filings, bookkeeping, AR/AP, banking, and employee benefits. Don has been on staff since 2013 and is currently the Business Administrator, responsible for the budget,
facilities maintenance, contracting insurance, IT and certain HR functions.
Don & Connie are both part-time employees and in their spare time like golfing, paddling, and traveling.
Our sweet Auntie Lyn is relocating to the Mainland to support her children and grandchildren. She has been a part of the KCC ohana since 1997. You know her as our office administrator, overseeing the daily operations of the church office and providing administrative support to the pastors & staff. Lyn has been training our new Office Administrator, Kristin Sefik. Thank you Auntie Lyn for your years of faithful labor for KCC and the Kingdom of God. We love you. Aloha!
